Powerball results, Saturday 8th September

It’s been a big weekend of big American jackpots, culminating last night in a $100 million Powerball draw. It was the last of two $100 million jackpots up for grabs this weekend, but did it find a winner?

Ticket sales were brisk all day, and the winning numbers are 6 – 20 – 34 – 44 – 48; Powerball 29, and news in after the draw from Powerball officials is that no one matched all the winning numbers, so it’s yet another Powerball rollover!

The numbers did not prove lucky for players. Not only was there no Powerball winner, but just one player, from Arizona scooped the Match 5 prize, worth $1 million!

Throughout the nine prize tiers, over half a million Powerball players walked away with a prize, and $4.7 million will be paid out in prize money from the draw.

So there were plenty of winners, but no one scooped the jackpot, which means this Wednesday, the Powerball jackpot will be worth a staggering $110 million.

Of course, before then, on Tuesday evening the Mega Millions jackpot is estimated at $120 million, and between them they are the biggest lottery jackpots in the world. It’s the battle of the giants this week, as the Powerball and Mega Millions go virtually head to head with these massive rollover jackpots!
