Powerball Lottery results, Saturday 15th September
This weekend’s Powerball was the biggest lottery jackpot up for grabs anywhere in the world, and at $125 million it was guaranteed to pull in the players. Ticket sellers reported high sales all day across participating states and online ticket merchants reported bumper sales from around the world too.
The anticipating built throughout the day and when the Powerball drawing finally took place the winning numbers were 3 – 20 – 26 – 43 – 48; Powerball 1.
News is that despite high ticket sales, no one matched all the winning numbers in the Powerball draw, which means it retains its title of world’s biggest lottery jackpot as there’s another rollover on Wednesday and the jackpot climbs again!
The biggest winner in last night’s Powerball drawing was one player from Florida who matched five main balls, and selected the Powerplay option to scoop $2 million! Match five players collecting $1 million came from Texas, Arizona, New York and Ohio.
Almost $10 million will be paid out in non-jackpot prizes from the draw, to over 600,000 players throughout the nine prize tiers, so there were some big winners, even if that jackpot was not won.
The rollover is likely to ensure that interest in the Powerball remains high, as the jackpot for Wednesday night is estimated at a massive $149 million! We hope you were lucky in last night’s draw, and good luck to all those playing on Wednesday night.
