Mega Millions results, Tuesday 11th September

As reported yesterday, last night’s Mega Millions jackpot was the biggest current lottery jackpot up for grabs anywhere in the world. The top prize was a rolled over $120 million and interest in the draw was high.

The Mega Millions reported bumper ticket sales all day yesterday, so there was plenty of interest in the draw, which dropped the winning numbers 5 – 11 – 20 – 33 – 36; Mega Ball 11.

News in is good news, we hear that one lucky player matched all the winning numbers in last night’s Mega Millions draw, scooping the entire $120 million. The winning ticket was sold in the state of California, so if you live in California, it’s time to check the results!

Six players matched five numbers in the draw and they each collect $250,000. Match five tickets were sold in California (2), Indiana, Massachusetts, New York and Virginia. A bumper 64 players matched the 4+1 prize, and they each collect $10,000.

So that’s the big jackpot won, and congratulations to the lucky Californian player who scooped the lot. The win means that Friday’s Mega Millions will be back to $12 million, but if you are looking for a bigger jackpot, tonight’s Powerball jackpot is now the biggest in the world at a massive $110 million!
