$125 million makes Powerball world’s biggest lottery jackpot
This weekend the Powerball is the one to watch for world lottery players, as boasting a rollover jackpot of $125 million, it’s the world’s biggest lottery jackpot right now. The Powerball hasn’t seen a winner since August 15th, creating this big rollover this evening, and with lots of winners around the world this week, the Powerball is the only big rollover up for grabs.
Despite the lack of a jackpot winner, there were some big Powerball winners this week, including several big millionaires. However, with no top prize winner, the $110 million jackpot rolled, giving this big jackpot for the weekend.
The August 15th Powerball winner was one Donald Lawson from Michigan and he collected a staggering $337 million jackpot. Tonight’s Powerball rollover isn’t quite at that level, but it’s a big jackpot nonetheless and is sure to bring in the players for tonight’s drawing.
In participating states, Powerball players will be heading out to buy last minute tickets today, but online retailers are also reporting brisk sales from around the world, as everyone wants a shot at the world’s biggest jackpot.
We’ll be back after the Powerball drawing with all the news, results and details of any big winners. Good luck if you’re buying tickets this evening!
